Clayton Bay Caravan Park

From the cool breezes off the water on a summer day to the warming winter sun and the tranquility of the water in winter. The interplay of the elements, the waters edge location in this wonderous waterway and wetland ensure a variety of experiences for our visitors.

Our small older style park has little to offer those who favor big park glitz. It retains the feel of the caravan parks and camping grounds of the 60's and 70's. Grass, trees for shade and a brilliant water front location for swimming, canoeing, and sailing. There is no mini golf, no swimming pool nor spa, ( but there is the lake ) no inflatable castle not even an office on site, well not what most people expect an office to be. However, if you are looking for a simple, natural place that features a peaceful, quiet, waterside atmosphere with like minded people, then this is the place.

Just over an hour from Adelaide, there is no other place quite like it in South Australia. There is a couple of tiny bays, cleared of reeds, with grassy edge and sandy bottom that we call beaches. Great for wading about, swimming, throwing the ball for the dog, playing with the kids and of course boating of all kinds. There is 3 kilometers of Walking Trail, a Boardwalk through the reedbeds and canoes and kayaks for hire.
